Allow me to share a bit about Junior and myself: We first crossed paths in 2011 at a local gym, a time when we were both navigating some personal challenges. At that point, we were both striving to improve our health, each weighing over 250 pounds. I, in particular, weighed 270 pounds. We connected, developed a frienship and fell in love with each other and fitness, and our shared journey commenced. We began dating in 2012, were married by 2015, and the rest, as they say, is history.
In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we established Garlic City Ruckers, and we each established our own gym just before the pandemic's full impact. Junior and I achieved the peak of our physical fitness. We extended an invitation to friends and the community to maintain an active lifestyle during the pandemic by participating in hikes while adhering to health guidelines.
Following the pandemic, our team began to gain recognition within the community, and some individuals started joining our weekly fitness activities. Presently, we have cultivated a strong community bond through various forms of fitness, which we refer to as HYBRID, as we engage in a diverse range of activities.
Junior and I take great pride in our fitness endeavors. While we may not be the fastest, strongest, or podium contenders, we are pleased to say that we actively participate in running, rucking, weightlifting, endurance events, yoga, and various other fitness activities, all thanks to our consistent habits and the integration of these activities into our lifestyle. Together, we established a Ruck club with chapters in both SoCal and NorCal. We also founded a run club led by a wonderful friend.
Junior and I are proud of our work, and our mission is to strengthen communities, one ruck and run at a time. At Garlic City Ruckers Hybrid Training, our motto is simple: We stay ready so that we don't have to get ready, and that applies to everything in life. We believe in pushing the boundaries of what's physically possible because we do not know what our bodies can do until we go out there and try. Do not give up.

Greetings!
My name is Miriam Fregoso, and I am a co-founder of Garlic City Ruckers. I am 46 years of age, a mother of four, and a grandmother of two. My life's passion has always been to assist all living beings, and I intend to continue doing so for as long as I am able.
I serve as a mental health therapist at a local high school, and I can confidently say that I am very fond of my profession. I cherish the connections I make with others, but what I appreciate most is collaborating with individuals to help them uncover their boundless potential and realize their aspirations through focused effort and mental discipline.
I am also a certified sound healer, and through the use of frequencies, notes, and vibrations, I have found something that was previously missing, which now completes me, both as a mental health therapist and as an individual.
Furthermore, I am a firm believer in a holistic approach to mental and physical well-being, and I believe that the future of health lies in fitness and sound, so let us begin moving and vibrating at a high frequency!
